Diclofenac epolamine patches are a topical NSAID. They are effective for lower back pain as well as localized aches, pains, and inflammation throughout the body. Relative to oral NSAIDs, diclofenac epolamine patches exhibit a reduce side effect profile (for example, fewer stomach-related side effects) since they are applied at the site of pain. Due to their reduced side effects, they can often be used on a longer-term basis than other NSAIDs.
